Mas Vilella is a family estate in La Bisbal del Penedès, at an altitude of 300 metres, centred on a 16th-century farmhouse surrounded by terraces, dry-stone walls, carob trees, olive trees and almond trees. Its 11 hectares of vines grow in poor, stony limestone soils that limit yields. The winery is led by Albert Jané, son of Benjamí Jané and Maria Úbeda, who started the project in 1984. The family’s winemaking tradition actually dates back to 1914. Mas Vilella’s Corpinnat sparkling wines express the stony, limestone character of the soils and the identity of the Mediterranean landscape.
